B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS)
The B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS) is a four-year undergraduate program designed to equip students with cutting edge skills and knowledge in one of the fastest-growing fields of technology.
This program offers a rigorous academic curriculum combined with hands-on learning to prepare students for the evolving demands of the future job market. Graduates of this program will be well positioned to contribute meaningfully to the development and application of AI technologies, bridging the gap between technical advancement and human-centered design.
Beyond technical proficiency, the program places a strong emphasis on ethics, responsibility, and societal impact. Students are encouraged to consider the broader implications of AI systems and develop solutions that are not only innovative but also ethical and inclusive.
Labs
- Data Structures Using C Lab :
In computer terms, a data structure is a specific way to store and organize data in a computer's memory so that these data can be used efficiently later. Data may be arranged in many different ways; the logical or mathematical model for a particular organization of data is termed as a data structure.
- Operating Systems Lab:
An Operating System (OS) lab provides hands-on experience with fundamental OS concepts like process management, memory management, and file system operations.
- Python Language Programming Lab:
Python is a high-level language, used in web development, data science, automation, AI and more. It was mainly developed for emphasis on code readability, and its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code.
- Database Management System Lab:
A DBMS is software that allows creating, updating and retrieval of data in an organized way. It also provides security to the database.
Examples of relational DBMS are MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Artificial Intelligence Lab:
An Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab is a specialized research and development environment where experts in fields such as machine learning, data science, and cognitive computing collaborate to create intelligent systems. In these labs, you'll find professionals working on algorithms that enable machines to learn from data, solve complex problems, and perform tasks that typically require human intelligence.
- Design and Analysis of Algorithm Lab:
It provides hands-on experience in designing, coding, and testing various algorithms to solve computational problems. Students learn to analyze the efficiency and performance of different algorithms through empirical testing and comparison.
- Machine Learning Lab:
It provides a hands-on learning environment where students apply theoretical knowledge to practical machine learning tasks using various algorithms and tools.
- Web Technology Lab:
The Web Technologies Lab provides a practical environment for learning and experimenting with tools and techniques used in modern web development. In this lab, students and developers can explore both frontend (client-side) and backend (server-side) technologies to build, deploy, and secure dynamic web applications.
B.Tech Admission Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 (40% for reserved categories as per government norms).
- Entrance Exam: Candidates may qualify in a recognized engineering entrance examination such as JEE Main or CUET.
