How to Register for a Pharmacy License in Uttar Pradesh: A Step-by-Step Guide

Becoming a registered pharmacist is a mandatory step after completing pharmacy education in India. Whether you have finished Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), registration with the Uttar Pradesh Pharmacy Council (UPPC) is essential to legally practise as a pharmacist in the state.

The Uttar Pradesh Pharmacy Council is a statutory body established under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, responsible for regulating the profession of pharmacy in Uttar Pradesh. It maintains the register of qualified pharmacists and issues licenses that allow you to practise pharmacy legally.

Eligibility: Who Can Apply?

  • Have completed D.Pharm (2 years course + practical training)
  • or B.Pharm (4 years) from a PCI-recognized institution.
  •  Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reside in Uttar Pradesh or carry on pharmacy profession in the state.

Step-by-Step Online Registration Process

The UPPC has made the registration process fully online so candidates can apply without physically visiting the council office.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  • Go to the UPPC online portal: https://apps.uppc.in/online/Account/Registration.
  • Fill in your Title, Full Name (as per educational documents), Mobile Number, and Email ID.
  • Create a strong password and complete the captcha.
  • Verify your Mobile No. and Email via OTP (One Time Password).
  • Your account will be created successfully after verification.

 Step 2: Login to Your Dashboard

Once registered, log in with your registered mobile number and password.

If you forget your password, use the “Forgot Password” option to reset via OTP sent to your mobile/email.

Step 3: Apply for Registration

  • Go to “Request for Pharmacist Registration” on the dashboard.
  • Fill in your qualification details — whether it is D.Pharm or B.Pharm.
  • If you were registered with another state pharmacy council, answer the questions accordingly.
  • Upload your supporting documents (list below).
  • Pay the registration fee online.
  • Submit your application.
