B.TECH. Mechanical Engineering Department
Mechanical Engineering is one of the core branches of engineering which have existed since prehistoric times. It has been part of the history of development of mankind. Mechanical Engineers play a key role in developing, operating and manufacturing new machines, devices and processes to benefit mankind. They apply their creative imagination and professional skills to combine both theory and practice in a variety of situations.
Mechanical Engineering has a vast scope and deals with the science and technology of Materials, Energy, Manufacturing and Design. Mechanical Engineering is an engineering specialty that involves many different science principles for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. In order to be successful, it requires a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy.
